I'm just judging from a backlit Game Boy Pocket.

Backlit MGB's have very little change in battery life also
From now I shall be your source of knowledge :tophat:

Mine finally knocked out at around 24 hours of pokemon, and about an hour of other games... Another factor could be sound, since I don't have a working speaker, I just turn the volume dial all the way down, so there's no power wasted on sound that I don't hear.

Beside that: I lost a badge and 27 levels in total x( I had stopped my paranoid saving, but apparently didn't save normally... I looked at the TV, and back up at the game, and it was blank. Dang.
